Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN) is a cable TV network operated by Maeil Business Newspaper of South Korea. Initially founded on September 23, 1993 as Maeil Economic TV, it focused on finance, stock market, financial information and business news with professional financial content. It was officially renamed MBN in March 2011 and completed channel transformation on December 1 of the same year, shifting from a single financial news channel to a comprehensive cable TV channel. Together with JTBC, Channel A and TV Chosun, it forms a matrix of South Korea's comprehensive programming channels. After transformation, MBN launches diverse programs including financial information, political news, livelihood variety shows, lifestyle services, films and documentaries, balancing professional finance and public entertainment to meet the needs of different audiences.
